Divine Smiles is run by Dr Ram Shanker Das (Das) and Dr Chitra Das (Chitra).

Das graduated in 1979 and his credentials are BDS MDS FRACDS. Chitra graduated with a BDS degree in 1986.

In NZ, Das served in the Royal New Zealand Air Force till 2002. Chitra joined the Midcentral Health Hospital Palmerston North and worked in the position of Senior Dental Officer till 2002.

They then migrated to Australia and Das took up the post of Manager Dental Services at the Wingecarribbee Health services, Bowral, a unit of South Western Sydney Area Health service. Chitra worked in the Dental Department as a Dental Officer.

It was there that the idea of settling down and setting up practice in the beautiful and warm city of Brisbane, in the form of Divine Smiles, took shape.

In the midst of these movements, Das also appeared for and cleared the Fellowship Exam of the Royal Australasian college of Dental Surgeons and was admitted as a Fellow in Feb 2003, adding to his credit a very distinguished post nominal.

His special interests are Root canal therapy, surgical extraction of Wisdom teeth, complex oral rehabilitation of worn and / or decayed teeth, and cosmetic dentistry. He has additional training in Root canal therapy, Implants, and Cosmetic Dentistry.

He is a Member of the Australian Dental Association, Endodontic Society of Australia, and the Australian Society of Implant Dentistry and holds an accreditation from the Australian Society of Implant Dentistry.

Chitra's special interests include Cosmetic dentistry, Periodontics, Dentures and Crown & Bridge work .She has an accreditation in Implant Dentistry from the Australian society of Implant Dentistry, and is a member of the Australian Society of Implant Dentistry. She has experience in treating Periodontal problems and additional training in Dentures and most important of all she is a proud mother of two lovely children Ashwati and Vineet who are aged 19 and 17 respectively.

Chitra & Das have kept themselves updated with recent developments in Dentistry by meeting the requisites of the Australian Dental Association on Continuing Dental Education.
