Dr Das has now successfully completed a two-year program from the prestigious Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany in Oral Implants, leading to a Masters degree in the field of Dental Implants and credentials of MSc – Oral implants (Germany).
He has worked in the Indian Navy, Ministry of Health Libya, New Zealand Air Force, South Western Sydney Area Health Services and now in private practice in Brisbane since 2002.
In his 31 years of practice since graduation, he has gained a large wealth of experience and knowledge and now has focused on treating patients with missing and failing teeth with Dental Implants.
He is a member of the Australian Dental Association and Australian Osseointegration Society and holds an accreditation from the Australian Society of Implant Dentistry.
Dr Das is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS) and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI). He is a graduate of the Brener Implant Institute in Sydney.
Dr Das updates his knowledge and practical skills by attending various courses in Australia and overseas, such as the Advanced Implantology course for complex cases at the University in Vienna and various courses at the Pikos Implant Institute, USA.

Dr Chitra Das graduated from the University of Bombay in 1984, Chitra then enhanced her qualification by completing the Advanced Dental Studies at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies in USA.
Dr Chitra’s main interest is in the Restorative phase of Implant Dentistry, Full Mouth Rehabilitation and Management of Pain related to Jaw and TMJ. She is also interested in Neuromuscular Dentistry.
Neuromuscular Dentistry deals with problems associated with abnormalities associated with the bite position of the patient and associated pains in the neck, back and head. It involves understanding the abnormality by using various scans of the jaw and neck muscles and bringing it into a favourable position of occlusion.
She has an accreditation in Implant Dentistry from and is a member of the Australian Society of Implant Dentistry. Dr Chitra is a Graduate of the Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dentistry, a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI) and a Member of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain. Dr Chitra has done the Residency Programme under Dr Steven Olmosin Comprehensive Sleep and TMJ studies. Dr Chitra has also attended the Advanced courses at the Misch Implant Institute for the Restorative Phase of Dental Implants. She is continually attending other courses in these areas to ensure that her expertise and
knowledge are second to none.
Chitra is also a proud mother of two lovely children, Ashwati and Vineet. Ashwati is an aerospace engineer in the USA and Vineet is a doctor at The Royal Brisbane Hospital.
Chitra and Das always make it a priority to keep themselves updated with recent developments in Dentistry by meeting the requisites of the Australian Dental Association on Continuing Dental Education.
Alana Gacayan is a Hygienist and Oral Therapist at Divine Smiles in Brisbane and holds additional Qualifications as an Oral Myologist, attending advanced courses in the USA. Alana is trained to identify abnormal Oral habits in children and adults which lead to malocclusion, educate and correct nasal breathing patterns which help reduce symptoms of asthma, allergies and snoring, identify sleep apnoea and advice referrals for sleep study.
Alana is very thorough with her work and is a conscientious person who is both gentle and caring with patients.
Alana also keeps herself abreast with the latest knowledge in Hygiene and Myology.
Dr Sanjeev Sawhney is a Senior Specialist Anaesthetist. Sanjeev is excellent in mixing his cocktails to enable his patients sleep well through their treatment. He has put many a patient to sleep, but have woken them up as well.
He is a very gentle and friendly person though his personal interactions are not relevant once you are sleeping :-). His interests outside of his job are mountaineering, hiking and travelling.
Chantelle Pearce has been a dedicated staff member of Divine Smiles for over five years. She is our Implant Coordinator and Senior Front Office person. Chantelle is a very cheerful person and mum to Charlotte. She is always bringing innovative ideas for business development and practice improvement.

Chanelle Fallon has graduated from a Dental Assistant to a full-fledged Implant Coordinator. She is very knowledgeable about Implant and Grafting protocols and is enthusiastic about surgical procedures. Chanelle is a valuable asset to the Divine Smiles practice.
Always punctual, a team player and willing to do the extra bit to ensure our patients feel special and at ease.
Elizabeth or Liz as she is known to all is the senior most member of the Divine family. She is the infection control “Chief” and nobody dare get on her “dirty” side. She has been responsible for achieving the practice’s accreditation. Very meticulous and systematic, she is also the Implant Prosthetic Coordinator.
